Evelyn and Kevin could have chosen any site for their wedding venue. But they settled on their own mountain home as the most intimate spot for a perfect summer evening wedding. As full-time residents of the Sunshine State, their friends–many of whom are also Florida residents–found the wooded Colony setting particularly stunning. A seven-course tasting menu made up of locally-sourced foods, was specially created for the couple by Culinary Crafts. The food-loving couple insisted that a memorable, shared meal form the social centerpiece for their special day. A rare August rainstorm in the morning threatened to move the affair indoors. Fortunately the storm held off for the whole day, save for a brief shower between dinner and dessert. The guests sowed wildflower seeds around the garden, instead of the typical rice, so each summer will remind them of their wedding day.
