I have recently been doing site visits in Europe for a couple of clients and thought it would be fun to share, with you, a couple of dreamy wedding locations.
Today let's talk about Villa Erba, a beautiful Villa that was built in 1894 with amazing views of the lake.
Imagine your ceremony with these stunning views of Lake Como in the background. There are 2 areas to choose from for your ceremony. The first location, which is my favorite, is best for weddings of less than 120 people. Your guests have the opportunity to sit and look at the Lake and Mountains in the background while celebrating your wedding ceremony. The second location can hold up to 200 people and has a built-in Gazebo that can be decorated with flowers to suit your wedding aesthetics. The reason I love the first option is that you truly are on the lakefront and the area feels more intimate.
You can hold your cocktail hour in several areas, the first is the back staircase of the Villa. There is ample room to set-up music, a bar, tables and a lounge area. As your guests are enjoying a wonderful selection of food they also have a great view of the lake, where I am sure many photos will be taken to share on their social media sites.
The second area is one of the rooms on the main floor of the Villa. My favorite indoor room has breathtaking views of the lake. Imagine drinking a cocktail while you watch the sun set behind the lake out of these beautiful windows. Truly a moment to remember!
You have several options for your wedding dinner/reception. The first is to use rooms inside the Villa. There are 3 rooms at the back of the Villa. When they are put together they can hold up to 200 guests. You will want to take note that the rooms are connected with doors that open to each other. But some tables will not be able to see the wedding party, unless you have guests of 80 or less. There is also a beautiful room in the front of the Villa, with no lake view, that can hold a dinner for 200. If you want to hold dinner outside there is a lovely grassy area where a tent can be constructed to host a beautiful outdoor dinner and reception.
Villa Erba has space to create unique guest experiences. Maybe it is fireworks off the lake while you cut your cake or a limoncello stand. The options are endless.
If you're wondering about the price tag for a wedding of 100 people at Lake Erba you will want your budget to start at $150,000. Of course, this price can vary greatly depending on tenting, menus, flowers, etc.
Overall, Villa Erba is a spectacular Villa with amazing views. A location for a dreamy wedding in Italy.
